National Fishing Month website goes live

The National Fishing Month website is now live for 2012. Visit www.nationalfishingmonth.com to see what is going on in your region. Event organisers can also list their events on the site by registering their details.

National Fishing Month has been running for a number of years with the aim of providing opportunities for all of the family to try angling, as well as giving clubs and fisheries the chance to run open days and taster sessions.

2012 looks already to be the biggest National Fishing Month, so whether you're looking to give angling a go or organise an event, check the site out.

Angling at The Ashfield Show

The Nottinghamshire Angling Action Group will be working alongside Ashfield Angling Association to deliver coaching sessions at this years Active Ashfield Show on Saturday 7th July. James Roche met with Carol Hallam from Active Ashfield and Chairman of Ashfield Angling Association Alan Pilmore last Wednesday to look at more detail at how angling could be incorporated in the day.

The day could be a brilliant way of launching a busy summer of angling activity across the county.
